seascapes

Welcome to my seascape collection.  Ever since I was a little girl I've been drawn to the sea and the ocean. I love the colours, the movement and the symbolism that surrounds anything to do with the sea. In this collection, I've shown different ways of drawing things to do with the sea.

'Aqua' Study of a Bladderwort,

St Bees, Cumbria, Aug 2019 Watercolour Fascinated by the sea and things in it, I found this seaweed displaced on to the beach and thought it made a nice subject to paint with it's twisted tendrils hanging from a singular point. It was mainly a dark, purplish colour but the nature of the fluid medium I used meant that the colours merged together in places to form a most interesting composition.
